About the event
Hip Hop Congress ATL Presents: Hip Hop + Social Justice Panel
Since its inception, Hip Hop has been an act of resistance and a story of spontaneous creativity. Hip Hop is the proverbial flower that rose out of a crack in the concrete and bloomed into an entire forest. Today, Hip Hop does not influence popular culture, Hip Hop IS popular culture. Hip Hop is a Powerhouse and, in that house, resides the power to change the world. But does it? Can it? Should it?
Join Hip Hop Congress Atlanta and Atlanta Metropolitan State College as we celebrate Black History Month with an insightful panel discussion and Q&A on the role of Hip Hop in advocating for social change.
Hosted By: Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Student Life, TRIO SSS, TRIO STEM, AAMI
Moderated by: Dawn Smith
